Martha’s Vineyard has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember. My mom and I would always follow stories on the Kennedys and Martha’s Vineyard had been known to be their second home. It’s also a favourite vacation spot of US Presidents. So while my husband was in Cambridge for a short course, I decided to book a private tour for a day trip to the island.
We landed at Oak Bluffs. A cute area with rows of gingerbread houses.
If you have kids in tow, they will love feeding the alpacas at the farm.
Then we grabbed a quick bite at The Black Dog
Beautiful homes in the charming Edgartown…
Picturesque spots at Martha’s Vineyard
The travel to Martha’s Vineyard from Cambridge/Boston is about 3 hours including a 45 hour ferry ride from Woods Hole. It would be great to rent a gingerbread cottage for a night , perhaps on my next visit 🙂
For tours around Boston and nearby areas including Martha’s Vineyard, I highly recommend our tour guide Declan Kelly. You may email him at declankelly1@verizon.net
