Discovering La Presa

Keri   11 Apr , 2015

“I want to go to La Presa!” – We just arrived in Baguio and this was my daughter’s answer to our question of what she would like to do during our 4 day stay in the City of Pines.  “What’s La Presa? ” , I asked.  She explained that La Presa ( which is located in Benguet, about 40minutes from the city) is where they have been filming the hit Pinoy Telenovela- Forevermore. My daughter happens to be a huge fan of Liza Soberano ( the female lead in the drama).  So we gave in to her request on our 3rd day.  Driving there is already a treat because of the awesome views of the mountains and the city .   It has its heart stopping moments too because you go way up high and the road is narrow and winding.

It was a foggy afternoon but the place was still lovely.

I wasn’t well  equipped for the rocky trek towards  (I was in heels, please do not judge me!) the film location. I gave up halfway after taking photos with the rice terraces as my backdrop.

My husband went on to see Agnes’s (Liza Soberano’s character) home and to take more photos of the area.

Yes, my husband is game for anything and everything including standing beside a poster of Forvermore's Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil!

So if you can spare an hour or 2 while in Baguio, do visit La Presa. It’s definitely a lovely place to take photos- and you might just bump into Xander and Agnes 😉
