When I was approached to work with Pampers as one of their digital ambassadors, I was excited and honored. After all, who wouldn’t want to work with the pioneer baby diaper brand?
The Pampers team kept everything a secret until the very end, where we were invited to the intimate media launch recently at Active Fun Building in Bonifacio Global City.
It’s not often that you get to bring your kids to work 😉
I decided not to bring our 3.5-month-old baby then. She won’t be able to enjoy the event yet anyway.
They played on stage for a while with the other kids:
I only got to start working after checking in the boys. I did a quick 360 degree check of the room, and my eyes zoomed in on this table full of photos of GP Reyes and Andi Manzano-Reyes  — Yes, Andi is the ambassador/endorser for the new Pampers!
At the back of the room was a big historical flowchart that showed the significant years of Pampers. Imagine that, Pampers has been around since 1956!
Host and new mom (to a 9-week-old baby) Jelli Victor came on stage a few minutes after I did a run-through of the venue, and warmly welcomed Andi Manzano-Reyes on stage.
Soon after, partner pediatrician Dra. Apple Alfonso joined as well. And what I agree most with her is how important sleep is. Sleep is very important to me, most especially for my children. According to research, studies have shown that babies who sleep better are happier and more sociable in the mornings. they also appear more positive about interacting and concentrating, and are more alert, playful and friendly with those around them. These moments are important for baby’s social and cognitive development as well as providing an ideal bonding time for babies and moms. While there are several factors which may affect a baby’s sleep, wetness and hunger have been suggested as the two common reasons for baby waking up at night.
“Research suggest that helping to keep babies dry during sleep is on factor which may minimize disruption of sleep due to discomfort, environmental stimulation or temperature alterations,” shared Dra. Alfonso. “Dryness is therefore important because it will help ensure that babies’ skin is kept at a constant appropriate temperature and free form irritation,” she added.
Pampers aims to fulfill that need with the new Pampers Baby Dry that provides up to 12 hours of superior overnight dryness. It also uses a new core technology  that delivers a thinner and drier diaper, which features a Soft Touch-Dry Layer that quickly absorbs wetness to keep it away from baby’s skin. Magic Gel technology helps to absorb and lock in up to 7 wettings. The stretchy tape provides superior fit, while All Around Breathability and Soft Cottony Cover give babies the ultimate skin comfort to ensure a night of complete sleep. And lastly, there are a lot of fun designs to choose from, with a urine indicator that turns to blue.
With Country Marketing Manager of P&G Distributing, Jan Ang, who believes “that all babies should have a complete sleep, and a good night’s sleep means a happy and healthy development.”
Speaking of urine indicator, Pampers is confident to prove to us how reliable and wonderful their new product is… by showing us live. Andi got to do it on stage with host Jelli, while we all had one each per table.
Here is the video of how easily Pampers absorbs versus Brand X, done on our table.
Here’s a photo of the patch test right after the experiment. See how the tissue of Pampers had few wet stains?
Andi shows off how stretchy the tapes are!
Pampers offers you two diaper versions: Pampers Baby Dry and Pampers Premium Care. Both serves its purpose… the only difference is that Pampers Premium Care is extra soft.
And the surprises didn’t end here. Pampers is proud to launch another project – the FirstBook app where you can create your own baby journal by uploading images and videos. How cool is that? “Just like every new day is different, every baby’s first is unique, too! Pampers invites moms to celebrate and share baby’s special moments of firsts with loved ones and other moms on Pampers FirstBook, because these precious firsts are signs that baby is growing and developing,” explained Ang.
We’re all pretty excited with the app and will make a review as soon as I’ve created my own FirstBook journal. You can also try to create your own by logging into http://www.firstbook.ph 🙂 So, until then, I leave you with our group photo with fellow mommies:
With fellow digital ambassadors of Pampers: Roxi Santiago of Mommy Roxi, Ginger Arboleda of Mommy Ginger, Frances Sales-Amper of mommytopaz.com, celebrity endorser Andi Manzano-Reyes, Shen Cala-or of Shen’s Addiction, Nikki Tiu of AskMeWhats, and Martine de Luna of Make It Blissful.
And good friends GP Reyes and Andi Manzano-Reyes. As of this writing, Andi has given birth and the lovely couple is enjoying their new family with Pilar Olivia.Â
