I don’t do facials and I only see my dermatologist for my Revlite sessions. But when I received an invite for the launch of Biologique Recherche, I was intrigued by the brand and was happy to know that it was going to be held at my favourite spa, Chi at the Edsa Shangrila Hotel. I’ve heard the Olsen twins, Angelina Jolie, Madonna, and Monique Llhullier are Biologique Recherche fans.
I was led to a room to have my skin analysis done by Biologique Recherche’s Monique Terol.
Before explaining the results, owner of the brand, Dr. Phillippe Allouche, whose parents are the founders of the brand (his dad is a biochemist while his mom is a doctor who developed the Lamaze birth method) talked about the brand and its wide array of skincare. He gave me simple tips – like after a hot bath, you should wash your face with cold (mineral) water to close your facial pores (you may add salt); and that chemical peels are not good for your skin because it will make it thin and prone to many harsh elements. By using Biologique Recherché you are strengthening the epidermis/ first layer of your skin thus making it healthier and lessening chances of skin problems. It is advisable to do facials with this brand on a weekly basis on your first month after which you may do so once a month.
After a few minutes, the mask hardened a bit then it was taken off and wiped clean. My skin had an instant glow and it felt tight. You would think it would only last for the day but the “tightness” carried on to the next day which promptly convinced me to follow thru with Biologique Recherche products. I didn’t experience any breakouts so I believe the skin analysis really helped identify the products my skin will need. They have over 80 products that can address your skin problems 🙂
Now I’m a facial convert 🙂 Thanks to Biologique Recherche!
