Like any pregnant lady, I get tired easily and would rather stay home and rest. So, you know it’s a big deal if you see me out. And the Making Mega event held recently was one of those exceptions.

Why? Because my very good friend Peewee Reyes-Isidro texted me to make sure I attend, and the venue was pretty near, too! Keri and I skipped the 6PM event at Meralco Theater, but we went to the after party at Marco Polo’s VU bar at around 11PM.
Here we are waiting for our turn to ride the elevator. Coincidentally, Keri is part of this issue as the “Mega Woman”
It was already packed when we got there with our hubbies in tow, but we made it just in time for the program proper. For me, the highlight of the evening wasn’t the September issue, but the announcement made by Mega magazine founder and CEO Sari Yap that Peewee is officially the Editor-in-Chief! Woohoo!

Peewee and I met when we were both part of our respective companies’ teen magazines. She, with Meg, and me with Pink. We would hang out after events, and stay out until the wee hours of the night—that was not so long ago 😉 Over the years, we kept in touch. Our lives intertwined, getting married and having kids have brought us closer together. Us, mommies have to stick together, right? 🙂
We stayed for about an hour to hang out and unwind. And we saw quite a few stars, of course! Even, Daniel Matsunaga was there. Francis and Keri were so sweet to have a note addressed to Amanda from the PBB winner.
