1.  Check the hipmunk app for the best flights and fares

2.  Check tripadvisor for good hotels and restaurants  that will fit your budget

3.  Check Booking.com for hotel rates

4.  Pack 1-2 neutral colored coats and boots (if you’re visiting some place cold)

5.   Take 2-3 scarves to brighten up your outfit

6.  Bring flats/ sneakers that will go with the clothes you’ve packed.  For long haul flights, I put my slippers in my hand carry and wear them during the flight but please make sure you have pretty toes and do not take them off during the flight or you can opt to wear socks 🙂

7.  Buy mini containers for your lotion, shampoo, conditioner, creams, etc at Muji or Watsons

8.  Bring a good sized bag that will go with most of your outfits and can fit all that you need such as your wallet, passport, and other documents you’ll be taking

9.  Bring a neutral colored clutch for nights out to town

10.  Take a photo of your passport with your phone

11. have a fully charged power bank in your bank and don’t forget the  power cord

12.  I also check the www.toursbylocals.com for private tours of the city I’ll be visiting.

* When I know I’ll be buying a lot from one city, I make a list of their available door to door/balikbayan box service available in the area to avoid the stress of having overweight luggage at the airport
